LCF is a Section 8 non-profit company based in Pune, Maharashtra. It was founded in 2011 with the idea of creating a platform that would enable public-private partnerships in the social development space. LCF’s priority objective is to change the life trajectories of disadvantaged youth (18-35) from low-income communities to put them on the path of sustainable livelihoods. Developing “agency” or “strength” in youth provides them with the self-confidence to tackle the various challenges they will face, overcome obstacles and “start afresh”. While agency development unlocks aspiration and builds self-esteem, youth need the support of the local ecosystem to achieve their dreams. The convergence of agency, training and placement across the local ecosystem catalyzes a strategic and collaborative approach, leading to positive outcomes for disadvantaged youth.

About

I am a graduate of the Administration degree from UNAM, a member of the Young Advisory Group at GOYN Mexico and a participant in Latin America for a Sensible Drug Policy. At the beginning of my training I became interested in the business sector, its social impact and how to integrate the gender perspective within organizations. In the pandemic I learned about the social and solidarity economy. At INAES, I signed up for workshops, videoconferences and courses. My approach changed when I joined an NGO. It was an incredible experience, not only did I acquire many skills that I developed daily, but I had benefits above the law, a day that allowed me to continue learning and my interest in the defense of human rights increased. Here I found not only my vocation as an activist but also the challenges that still exist for access to decent work. Currently, I am a commercial manager of a corporate catering service, I continue studying the topics of my interest and now I know that my voice can name those people who have historically been made invisible.

About

One of the fundamental axes of our organization is the “Street Football” Social Intervention Model. This methodology contributes to the integration of different social sectors of the community, through the generation of spaces for inclusion and participation with sports, artistic and sociocultural activities. that promote the reaffirmation of values, the expansion of opportunities, the channeling of needs and demands, promoting public policies directed towards children, adolescence and youth. For young people, the forms of political participation take a different form from the traditional one, focused less on institutions and more on individuals, that is, preference is given in aid to individual subjects than to formal institutions or organizations. Instead of focusing on the fulfillment of civil obligations (such as voting or paying taxes), young people mainly value those behaviors that propose being in solidarity with the people of their own country and the rest of the world. We reject that youth be considered as a concept supported by stereotypes that identify young people with representations such as: “rebellion”, “crime”, “immaturity”, “strength”, “change”, among others. , these concepts are reproduced by official institutions such as the family, school, church, state institutions and are decontextualized and far from reality.
