LCF is a Section 8 non-profit company based in Pune, Maharashtra. It was founded in 2011 with the idea of creating a platform that would enable public-private partnerships in the social development space. LCF’s priority objective is to change the life trajectories of disadvantaged youth (18-35) from low-income communities to put them on the path of sustainable livelihoods. Developing “agency” or “strength” in youth provides them with the self-confidence to tackle the various challenges they will face, overcome obstacles and “start afresh”. While agency development unlocks aspiration and builds self-esteem, youth need the support of the local ecosystem to achieve their dreams. The convergence of agency, training and placement across the local ecosystem catalyzes a strategic and collaborative approach, leading to positive outcomes for disadvantaged youth.
