For Systemic Change

In a context where social, environmental and democratic challenges are deepening, young people are not just participating: They lead, propose, and transformWithin this context, Systemic Change was born and grew, an organization that promotes processes of articulation, training and advocacy to strengthen the collective power of youth in Mexico and Central America.

What is Systemic Change?

Systemic Change is a civil society organization that works for the social, environmental and democratic justice, placing young people at the forefront of change. We believe that structural problems require systemic responses: multi-sectoral collaboration, civic innovation, and strengthening of organizational capacities.

We support youth groups, organizations, and networks to move from intention to strategic action, and from isolated action to... articulated incidence.

What do we do?

Our work focuses on four strategic lines:

1️⃣ Training and capacity building

We design and implement training programs in:

  • Public impact

  • Financial sustainability from a legal-fiscal perspective.

  • Democratic governance

  • Civic innovation and youth participation

2️⃣ Articulation of regional networks

Currently, our colleagues from the Regional Youth Advocacy Network RADAR have given us the opportunity to be the Technical Secretariat of a Network that articulates leadership and activism that participate within organizations – collectives in Central America and Mexico. We are a strategic, useful, and sustainable network that connects youth leaders, organizations, collectives, and activists from Central America and Mexico to strengthen democracy, defend civic space, and advance youth agendas through regional advocacy, community building, and future capabilities..

From this role we strengthen regional coordination, political strategy and the sustainability of the network.

3️⃣ Coordination of funds and strategic support

This year we are co-coordinating the Flou Fund with SERAJ. “FLOU, Freedom and Opportunities for Young People” is the first fund that it promotes and supports. youth-led initiatives who work for human rights, primarily the right to decent work.

Our role at Cambio Sistémico AC is to provide technical support, as well as strategic and methodological monitoring of the Fund and community building among the initiatives.

4️⃣ Defense and strengthening of civic space

Through Iniciativa Manifiesta, we work to strengthen civic space in Mexico. We promote actions to:

  • Defend freedom of association and expression

  • To make visible the risks and restrictions to the work of civil society

  • Generate proposals for more favorable regulatory frameworks

  • Supporting organizations facing institutional challenges

We believe that without civic space there is no living democracy.

Possible Futures Mexico 2026: Second International Political Meeting of Youth from Central America and Mexico

Organized youth against authoritarianism,
inequality and the struggle for the future

In August we will hold the regional meeting “Possible Futures”, a space for articulation and collective reflection where young people from Mexico and Central America will carry out a regional political exercise to reimagine the collective action of young people, try out new forms of organization, care, influence and sustainability in the face of authoritarian, extractivist and digitally controlled contexts.

This 2026 we seek to bring “Possible Futures” to Mexico to open a safe and inspiring space that strengthens networks, promotes alliances and allows us to imagine democratic alternatives from the youth.

Our commitment

At Systemic Change we work convinced that:

  • Young people are not the future: they are the present organizing themselves to transform structures.

  • We promote sustainable, collaborative, and strategic processes because we know that profound change does not happen in isolation, but when individual capabilities become collective intelligence.

If you want to learn more about our work, collaborate, or join our initiatives, follow us on our social media channels.

Change is not decreed: it is built.

It is a free and accessible digital platform that serves as an information and collaboration tool between youth and institutions for employability in CDMX
