Carlos A. Flores Vargas

About

An international relations specialist, he holds master's degrees in Public Administration and Public Policy and in Political Analysis and Media from Tecnológico de Monterrey. His experience in the public sector has led him to specialize in civic engagement, elections, strengthening democracy, and urban studies. He is a member of the Board of Governors of the Institute for Studies on Democratic Transition, an advisor to the Women's Forum, and has served as an editorial advisor for the Enfoque section of the Reforma newspaper (2012) and Metropolitano (2019). He is the co-author of the book Aquí volverá a temblar (Grijalbo, August 2018), in which he shares his firsthand experience and offers valuable lessons about the aftermath of the 2017 earthquake in Mexico City. He currently directs Corazón Capital and teaches courses on Citizenship and Smart Cities and Citizenship and Technology at Tecnológico de Monterrey.
