of Youth:

Projects led by young people have evolved into authentic schools of participation. They stimulate creativity in the search for solutions to common challenges, always prioritizing the promotion of horizontal relationships with institutions, the defense of their rights and attention to pressing development needs, both individual and collective.

These projects result from a constant exploration of opportunities and approaches by young people. The main objective lies in strengthening their work skills and learning processes, followed by opening opportunities for productive participation that benefits their communities.

These efforts are taking place in a challenging environment, characterized by limited opportunities for young people. Therefore, resilience becomes a fundamental element, allowing them to conceive realistic projects and follow a path with the necessary stages for their realization.

To achieve this, it is crucial to foster a supportive environment and promote intergenerational collaboration, prioritizing the importance of emotional coexistence through activities such as music, sports, study and the satisfaction of basic survival needs. The formation of work teams plays a crucial role in achieving impactful and sustainable results, taking advantage of the personal skills and potential of those who participate in youth projects.

Along these lines, the narrative of young people always denotes a bold attitude to explore new paths and carry them out with passion. However, it is essential to have the support of human and financial resources from governments, at the federal and local levels, aimed at programs that promote the employability of young people.

As youth development processes take many forms and directions, our job is to share and support these diverse approaches. It is essential to recognize that the most influential experiences to promote supportive actions arise from young people themselves. These experiences play a crucial role in raising awareness and engaging the appropriate institutions to continue working to promote employment, employability and entrepreneurship.

Day after day, these projects, imbued with a youthful vision and approach, network in innovative ways, uniting shared efforts. These networks contribute to strengthening the organization of this age group from a rights-based perspective.

In addition, they facilitate the integration of young people in decision-making processes at the local and national level. In this sense, it is essential to promote the active participation of young people in the identification of their needs and demands, as well as their direct connection with institutions and organizations capable of addressing them.

These experiences, which involve young people in identifying their needs and their direct collaboration with institutions and organizations, require follow-up actions to achieve concrete results.

All of this implies the incorporation of new actors, both from the public and private sectors, in the implementation of policies aimed at this age group. Likewise, constant monitoring and coherent coordination of policies are required that strengthen capacities aimed at improving the employability and entrepreneurship of young people.

In this sixth edition of our platform, we share experiences from the testimonial scope of the civil organization Citizen Action Against Poverty and the National Monte de Piedad and Fundación Coppel; of forums such as the “Conversation on Corporate Social Responsibility”; the reflection of Alexandra Haas, Executive Director of Oxfam Mexico, as well as that of Rodrigo Loeza, CEO & General Director of PREPA IN, organizations and experts who address from their perspective the advantages and opportunities of this segment of the population and contribute to understanding of their rights, among other notable aspects.

It is a free and accessible digital platform that serves as an information and collaboration tool between youth and institutions for employability in CDMX
