In this article, Dr. Luz María Galindo Vilchis presents an overview of the relevance of caregiving and youth today, from the perspective of inequalities between women and men, considering the social organization of time and feminist economics.

• It explains the importance of young people caring for others, and proposes that the 6 Rs—recognition, redistribution, reduction, fair remuneration, representation, and caring relationships—be considered in public policies to generate changes in diverse areas such as employment and education.
• The objective is to present an overview of the importance of caregiving and youth, showing that these issues had been forgotten and were reconsidered with the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic.
