{"id":6590,"date":"2025-10-10T17:18:46","date_gmt":"2025-10-10T23:18:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/juventudes.mx\/editorial\/juventud-que-sostiene-crea-y-transforma\/"},"modified":"2025-10-10T19:36:58","modified_gmt":"2025-10-11T01:36:58","slug":"juventud-que-sostiene-crea-y-transforma","status":"publish","type":"editorial","link":"https:\/\/juventudes.mx\/en\/editorial\/juventud-que-sostiene-crea-y-transforma\/","title":{"rendered":"Youth that sustains, creates and transforms"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: right\"><strong>By Elio Villase\u00f1or<\/strong><br \/><strong>Director General of Citizen Initiative for <br \/>the Promotion of the Culture of Dialogue, AC<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right\">\u201cYouth is not a time of life,<br \/>It is a state of mind.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right\">\u2014 Samuel Ullman<\/p>\n<p>Young people who work, care, start businesses, or study have something in common: they are building their future from the present, with responsibility, empathy, and courage.<\/p>\n<p>There are those who get up early to work and support themselves; those who contribute at home, in factories, shops, offices or from their cell phones, showing that youth also puts a face to the daily effort.<\/p>\n<p>There are those who take care of their siblings, their grandparents or people with disabilities, sometimes postponing their own projects out of love and responsibility.<\/p>\n<p>There are those who undertake projects with creativity, turning ideas into solutions and obstacles into opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>And there are those who study despite the precariousness, with the deep desire to transform their reality and that of the country.<\/p>\n<p>They all share the same conviction: the future is not waited for, it is built.<\/p>\n<p>And they do it from their daily lives, with small but firm decisions, with courage, even in an environment that often demands more from them than it offers.<\/p>\n<p>We live in a time where being young is not always synonymous with recognition.<\/p>\n<p>They are often judged from an adult perspective or by market rules, without understanding their diversity, their struggles, and their aspirations.<\/p>\n<p>But young people, far from giving up, seek to forge their own paths: sometimes with support, many other times through their own strength.<\/p>\n<p>They want to be heard not as a homogeneous group, but as people with different stories, with complex dreams and realities, with their own ideas to change their environment.<\/p>\n<p>That is why it is urgent that public policies not be designed only \u201cfor\u201d young people, but \u201cfrom\u201d young people, recognizing their contexts, their profiles and their potential.<\/p>\n<p>It is not about assisting them, but about walking alongside them, accompanying their processes without imposing a single valid path on them.<\/p>\n<p>Recognizing youth also means recognizing their daily struggle to build a dignified life:<\/p>\n<p>- At work,<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 At home as caregivers,<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 In their projects as entrepreneurs,<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 In classrooms and in neighborhoods as students.<\/p>\n<p>Every young person is a story.
